I am tired. At 10:01 PM local time I have experienced a fun, long day.
But I need to pay it forward.
I am always yapping about paying it forward these days as the cash gifting movement takes off.
Helping people with money rocks. Especially when you look for nothing in return.
Today I paid it forward by:
- buying dog food to feed street dogs here in Pondicherry, India
- giving a homeless man money by the Bay of Bengal when he asked for dough aka….money
- staying up late to write this post
These are 3 examples of paying it forward. I could have went through the day thinking about me, me, me. In truth, many of us do this. I am not immune. But I am getting better at thinking outwardly.
I am sharing my pay it forward experiences to help you push yourself. To help you pay it forward.
What Is Paying It Forward?
Simple definition really. Paying it forward means doing something kind without expecting anything in return. As I write these words I am zoning out. Exhausted. But I want you to understand the concept of paying it forward.
I want you to do the same. I want you to help people. So I push myself a bit beyond to pay it forward.
The miraculous thing about paying it forward is this; if you are willing to let go attachment to outcomes karma works in your favor. Whatever you dished out returns to you multiplied. This is why cash gifting is so darn cool.
Benefits of Cash Gifting
- make money through blogging by simply promoting an activity
- generate good karma by paying it forward
- good prosperity stream for any mlmers or networkers or bloggers, or heck just about anybody working online
Why Would You Want to Pay it Forward?
Easy. Because it feels good to give. When I looked into that puppy dog’s eyes today – the little chap is no bigger than 1 foot long – I felt a rush of happiness. He was so happy to eat; slim pickens on these Indian streets for the dogs.
So he danced around and wagged his tail and ate and celebrated, and his mom came in for chow time too.
When the man asked for money and I handed over some cash he responded with a genuine “Thank You Sir” and smiled. It felt good knowing that he can eat tonight because I helped him out.
I did not look for anything from the puppy and him mom. I wanted to help.
I did not look for anything from the homeless man. I wanted to help.
Right now, I honestly intend to help you. That is it. I am paying it forward because every fiber in my being says to get to darn bed yet I fight this urge to help you.
Cutting the strings. We like to give with conditions. You help me I help you. Well, since we are all connected you help yourself by giving to anybody. So lose that lame conditional approach.
Help someone out.
Pay it Forward.
As online entrepreneurs or cash gifting coaches you can:
- retweet your buddies
- Facebook Share or Like content
- share content and Like it on LinkedIn or Plus it on Google Plus
- comment on relevant blogs to help your buddies
- in the offline world donate time or money to charity
- hold the door open for people
- smile at people
- be happy around others
- feed the homeless – or street dogs – or give money to those in need
The possibilities are limitless. Simply move the focus on giving freely and then detaching from the giving. All good comes back to you for the good that you did – and detached from – by the law of karma.
