You can’t defeat an enemy you’re not aware of. Don’t trudge through life terrified of getting sick, losing all your money, or fearing criticism. These silent fears run deep in the subconscious mind. They are barely detectable but real.

Deep fears cripple you. You can’t reach your potential with invisible hand-cuffs slapped onto your wrists. As long as you’re a slave to deep-seated fears you won’t be free.

How to dig up these fears? A soul-searching Q and A can work wonders for you. Successful people take candid personal inventories periodically. Identify your fears in order to release them and attract wealth.

Ask yourself these questions.

Fear Of Criticism

1 - Do you live your life based on what others think?

2 - Do you constantly seek your parent’s approval?

3 - Do you try to fit in?

4 - Are you afraid to speak you mind around friends?

5 - Are you afraid to follow you passion because of what your family will say?

6 - Did you get married because you were told that it was normal?

7 - Did you have children because you were told that it was normal?

8 - Do you work a job that you hate because you were told that it was normal?

9 - Are you afraid to express your opinions?

Here’s something to keep in mind. People are criticizing you whether you’re aware of it or not. Words sting but know that for every person who confronts you there are probably 10 who don’t speak out. So be yourself. You attract the best friends and most interesting people by being yourself.

People who dole out negative criticism are ugly inside. There’s some part of them that isn’t happy so they feel the need to knock others down. It’s their karma; don’t go down with the ship by engaging them.

Fear Of Poverty

10 - Do you obsess over getting “Hot Deals”?

11 - Do you click coupons every day?

12 - Do you use the word ‘expensive’?

13 - Do you fear losing your job?

14 - Do you see yourself losing your house? Your apartment?

15 - Do you panic whenever your car needs repairs.

16 - Do you hate paying bills?

17 - Do you feel awkward when discussing the topic of money?

18 - Do you turn people’s generosity down?

19 - Do you shop only at discount stores?

20 - Are you great at stretching a dollar?

21 - Do you agonize over the stock market’s twists and turns?

The only place where poverty exists is the human mind. You might see the appearance of poverty in depressed areas. But it has nothing to do with outside conditions. It’s a mindset. Poverty exists because people think lack. You can’t attract wealth when focused on poverty.

Whether you like it or not, each person makes their own bed financially. From people with plenty of money to people with little money. Your subconscious mind is flooded with the idea of wealth or poverty. If you want to know what’s going on in your mind, look at your results.

Develop wealthy visions. If you generate rich ideas and act on them you become rich. The process is straightforward once you dedicate yourself to attracting wealth. There are a myriad of self-help books on wealth. The Science of Getting Rich and Think and Grow Rich are 2 favorites. You can find free versions of each book online.

Fear Of Disease

22 - Do you run to the doctor when you catch a cold?

23 - Do you count every calorie which you ingest?

24 - Do you take a cocktail of vitamins in the morning?

25 - Do you flip out if you miss a workout?

26 - Are you terrified of hospitals?

27 - Are you afraid of the doctor’s office?

28 - Do you feel the need to take a pill the minute you sniffle?

29 - Do you obsess over the latest and greatest medical studies?

Sickness and health are rooted in the mind. Ever notice how people who obsess over staying healthy consistently get sick? While those who never speak of illness stay healthy? Focus + Energy = Experience.

  • Hi Ryan.

This is a solid set of questions. I asked myself most of them. You are right that each one and its answers tells a lot about how we are focusing.

The poverty questions sure do make sense. Someone who is thinking of the concepts in most of those will have a poverty-stricken mindset, always resorting to lowest common denominator thinking when it comes to funds, which is not conducive to building a foundation of funds.

Fear that is allowed to run the show is a bigger limitation than a physical handicap.
  • Thanks Armen. So much of successful living is self-interviews. Most are afraid to ask questions. Others are lazy. If we can get at the core of a problem we can solve it, whatever the fear may be.
