Personal Development - How Responsible Are You?
Posted in Personal Development on November 19th, 2009 by Ryan Biddulph –“I am responsible for my life, for my feelings, and for every result I get.” ~ Affirmation by Bob Proctor
If it happened, you attracted it.
I know. Most don’t like to hear this. I don’t like to either. The toughest thing to do is take responsibility for EVERYthig that happens in your life. The good things are easy. The bad things aren’t.
You are an event magnet. Your subconscious mind is a power center. It’s the god-like part of you which makes it all happen. It’s like nature. It’s miraculous, but nobody has a clue how it operates. It’s precise, unjudging, and absolute.
If you’re wealthy, you attract wealth. If poor, you attract poverty. It’s absolute.
What we do know is that thoughts charged with strong emotions form impressions on the subconscious mind. These impressions are ‘orders’ which the subconscious accepts and acts upon.
So if it happened, your subconscious mind made it happen.
People ask me, “What about disease and poverty?” “You mean to tell me people did this to themselves, that they wanted it to happen, that they consciously thought it into being!”
NO!
Attracting something does NOT mean causing it. Attracting does NOT mean wanting it. Attracting does NOT mean seeking it. Attracting means that you’ve either consciously (aware of thoughts and feelings) or unconsciously (only God knows how) thought and felt certain impressions which eventually came to pass. You weren’t aware of these concepts as a baby. That’s why sickness are poverty are prevalent in society. Most aren’t raised to attract wealth. People unconsciously pick up negative thought impressions which are imprinted on their subconscious mind.
Most people dwell on sickness. They don’t want to be sick, but what do you think the fear of sickness leads to? Sickness. Thought + Strong Emotion = Eventual Result
Most people dwell on poverty. They don’t want to be poor, but what do you think fear of poverty leads to? Poverty, or at least a poverty consciousness of lack and limitation.
Who’s responsible for these things? Nothing outside of you.
Your Life
Have you taken responsibility for you life? Are you in control?
This doesn’t mean you know how life will unfold. You have no clue. What you can take responsibility for is whatever life throws at you. If you get sick, you can self-heal. If you go bankrupt, you can attract wealth.
If sickness is your brainchild, if poverty is your brainchild, can you not release those states of mind and replace with health and wealth?
Don’t ever let someone take responsibility for your life. Depending on others to think and do for you makes you a slave to their will.
Your Feelings
Someone cuts you off in traffic. The initial impulse is to flip them the bird. At the very least you’ll probably react in a negative manner.
You’re reacting. If you were RESPONSible, you’d RESPOND.
Remember, you’re causing it all. You attracted it. It’s tough to consciously wrap the mind around the idea that a god resides in you. It’s called the subconscious.
The next time someone ‘makes you angry,’ think about who caused it. Think about the god-like part of you.
For Every Result That You Get
Ahh results. Pissed about your salary? Guess who attracted it?
You can’t escape the fact that you’re continually creating your life experience. The more definite and clear your thoughts, the stronger the emotions, the quicker a result reveals itself. You can attract wealth with ease when you get this process down.
When you consciously choose negative thoughts and feelings, negative results follow. The same applies to positive thoughts and feelings.
Do you blame the economy? Do you blame a ‘recession’? The god-like part of you doesn’t understand these words. It just takes orders and goes about creating.
The Challenge
I want to make something abundantly clear. Thoughts without feelings carry no meaning. Thoughts without meaning won’t impress the subconscious.
Sit in a quiet room. Relax your body and mind. Allow stray thoughts to enter and exit the mind. When calm, repeat the affirmation, “I am responsible for my life, for my feelings, and for every result I get” Repeat it slowly, calmly, and with feeling. Perform a 10 minute session in the morning and evening. Do this for a 30 day period.
The god-like part of you responds to repetition and feeling. Repeat it, believe it, and observe how quickly you become a responsible person.
In what area of life can you become more responsible?
