7 Steps to Flushing Your Cash Gifting Club Down the Toilet
Posted in Cash Gifting on February 26th, 2012 by Ryan Biddulph – Comments
The number of mistakes you can make as a cash gifting coach is limitless.
You can screw up in a variety of ways.
Of course, if you are smart, you learn from the mistakes of experienced people.
Before I proceed, I have to let you know that I made each of these errors at one time or another.
I screwed up and want to share my screw ups, to shorten your learning curve by years.
Yes, years.
If you are willing to listen and learn, you will succeed at an infinitely faster pace then I.
Cash Gifting Toilet Bowl Flush
I flushed my club down the toilet for months at a time.
If I attracted a few good prospects I whizzed away the opportunity.
Why?
I had a failure consciousness. I was programmed to fail, and naturally did things which led to failure.
Until I changed my mindset, nothing changed in my life.
When I made personal development A1 in my life, things changed quickly.
OK, on to the muck-ups.
Step 1 – Ignore Personal Development
You ignore personal development at your own peril.
If your mind is not right, if you possess a failure consciousness, you self-sabotage. Every time.
You use force, instead of power. You spin your wheels all day long. You find something that works, but stop doing it.
All because you have the mindset of a poor, scared, failure-ridden person.
Make personal development a priority. Set aside 1 to 2 hours daily to meditate, visualize or affirm.
Doing these things creates riches in your life, faster than you can imagine if you make a full commitment to self help.
Step 2 – Doing Too Many Things
I used to be an inspirational author, cash gifting coach, law of attraction whiz, etc, etc.
I was trying to be everything to everyone, which confused the hell out of my audience.
Hear the toilet bowl flushing? Can you?
My message was unclear, inconsistent and just plain all over the place.
Nobody understood how I could help them with sharing clubs because I was trying to be too many things to too many people.
Get uber clear on what you have to offer. You are a coach for a sharing club.
Maybe you do 1 other thing, that’s it. If you are struggling to make money online you must do 1 thing well, before you start doing other things.
I do not go to my garbage man for stock tips. Why would I contact an inspirational author/gifting guy/law of attraction teacher for sharing club advice?
Step 3 – Ignoring SEO
Big mistake here.
No SEO = No targeted marketing. This is bad. Really bad.
I spoke to the wrong audience for many months. First, I didn’t write much about sharing clubs.
Then when I did write about these clubs, I did not use keywords effectively.
I wrote posts all willy-nilly, screwing up my SEO and getting no search engine love.
You must write each piece of content with a targeted audience in mind, and this means using SEO.
Put your keyword in the title, in a set of h1 or h2 tags, and in the first and last sentence of a 400 word article.
Write to a targeted audience to prosper with less effort.
Step 4 – Being Afraid to Promote
Bad news here. I feared promoting my club, and down it went, flushed into oblivion.
I feared criticism. I ran into a few yahoo’s early on who went off on me for my gig, and I let it get to me.
Little did I realize these miserable people were unhappy with their lives, and simply took their lack of clarity and happiness out on me.
So I hid, and did not actively promote my cash gifting club, and people never really knew what I did, and I made no money.
Cash Gifting – How to Get Over the Fear of Criticism
Plaster your opportunity all over the place. No shoving down people’s throats of course, but aggressively promote what you do.
As Seth Godin once said, how can we know what you do, if you never share your super power with us?
Step 5 – Crappy List Building
Or no list building.
I waited a long time to build my list, and once I did start building it, I rarely sent out newsletters.
People forget about you, and your opportunity, if you do not build and maintain contact with your list.
Leave a link or opt-in form on all content. Send out weekly newsletters.
Nothing fancy, just share your ideas, or ideas of people who you deem to be leaders, with your list.
Build trust with frequent, value-packed mailings and you prosper mightily.
Step 6 – Give Up
I gave up on my club for a while.
Stopped promoting it. I stopped writing content.
I backburnered it.
When you do this, you stop programming people to respond to you. Once a commercial goes off the air, you usually forget about it for good.
Same deal with your message.
Work your club daily. Create content, promote, make connections.
Commit to helping people achieve financial freedom.
Step 7 – Not Working Your Team
I pulled back from working my team for a bit.
Grave error.
You need to be inspirational, you need to maintain contact with your team, if you want to be a true leader.
I was always supportive, I just wasn’t too big on being a driver, on cracking the whip, on inspiring.
Your team does need to do the work but this becomes easier as you maintain contact with weekly mailings, and frequent phone calls, or emails.
Remember, your job is to help people prosper. You also would like to duplicate, to make money while away from the computer.
Keep consistent contact with your team and prosper.
