I am a beach bum. Why the heck not? Half the time my shirt is off in these tropics.
I mean the heat index hit 113 F the other day here in Pondicherry, India…and it was not even the hottest point in the day!
But I do not mind. I love to feel the heat and I am in love with hitting the beach.
Kelli and I like traveling to tropical hot spots.
Today I wanted to share travel pictures from our favorite beaches in the world.
What is the point of doing the cash gifting/Peoples Program/internet lifestyle thing if you do not enjoy the spoils, right?
So here is the dream I am selling you.
Are you in?
If so, click here to learn how you can travel the world too.
1: Nai Harn Beach, Phuket, Thailand
If you like clean, white sand beach, crystal clear waters, a peaceful, relaxing vibe, and few tourists to go up against (at least outside of peak high season) Nai Harn Beach is the way to go.
I believe it to be one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world.
The bay is enclosed by 2 mountains covered with palm trees.
Kelli and I skip the 420 Baht for 2 chairs and use a coconut tree for shade.
You can swim out for a 1/4 mile during high season. The water is a bath. A pond. Perfectly still on some days. You can see the floor, 5, 10 or 20 feet below.
Stunning. My favorite beach on earth. And I reckon that it is one of the best beaches on earth.

And one more photo of Nai Harn for good measure.
2: Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
In terms of stunning beauty and overall cleanliness Manuel Antonio takes a back seat to no other beach I know of. Fabulous views, quiet setting and more wildlife than you could ever believe.
- Jesus Christ lizards (google them)
- squirrel monkeys
- capuchin monkeys
- other lizards
and a slew of other wildlife while lazing on this beach. The water rocks. The people are friendly. Getting there from Quepos cost us 50 cents.
Not a bad deal.

3: Hidden Beach, Bali
Not a swimming beach but the most jaw-dropping scenery I have ever digested on the beach front.
That is me overlooking the cliffs. I asked Kelli to marry me in a similar spot a few hundred meters away.
Crystal clear waters, white sands and on some days, thunderous, pounding waves slamming into the coves.
Unreal, raw, powerful, savage nature at its best!

4: Playa Potrero, Costa Rica
The sleepiest beach we have visited.
We had a cute little beach house 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean.
One garbage truck drove down the street every few days. Not much else.
Beauty, nature, birds, wild horses, although the washed up puffer fishes made me a bit nervous.
Overall, one of the great beaches in the world and some unreal sunsets!

5: Hoi An, Vietnam
Gorgeous beach. Ridiculously peaceful water during low season.
Huge coconut tree canopy for chilling.
Kelli and I loved Hoi An.
